The fund has historically benefitted from periods of price dislocation between asset classes. It is during times of increased cross-asset volatility that the fund is best suited to generate attractive returns that are uncorrelated to the broader market.
Conversely, during times of low opportunity, we are laser-focused on minimizing losses to preserve capital and compound risk-adjusted returns.
Praxis is focused on discretionary, opportunistic Modern Macro trading and has developed a muti-process investment approach that integrates a blend of macro-economic fundamentals, technical analysis, and relative value analysis.
The trading idea generation process begins by processing all incoming data and supporting research with an unbiased filter to identify central macro themes in global capital inflows and outflows.
Upon identifying high risk/reward thematic investment opportunities, the fund expresses its macro views using cash, futures, and options positions on fixed income, equities, commodities, and foreign exchange across several durational strategies.
The Fund’s trades fall into three separate duration books: Short-duration trading (event-based), Medium-term positions (tactical trading), and Longer-term positions (thematic).
As our trades reflect our view of the macro landscape, we closely monitor market activity around the clock to right-size our exposure in response to changes in market conditions.
